“ Even though I'm a member of Brook Valley Country Club,
I choose to play most of my golf at Ironwood for a number of reasons.
First and foremost, the condition of the putting surfaces. Ironwood's
greens are always well maintained and offer consistent putting
with very good pace. Golf courses are typically judged by the condition
of their greens. Danny Ray Britt and his staff do a great job of
maintaining the greens, which for me are the most important aspect
of any golf course. Ironwood's layout is a great test of golf from
any tee box you choose and at any level you may play. The par 5's
are true "risk and reward", the par 3's are very challenging
and the par 4's offer a great mix of shot making and ball placement.
The overall condition of the golf course is very enjoyable and
very playable regardless of skill level. The practice facility
offers any golfer the opportunity to work on their game with multiple
targets, a chipping green, and bunkers to fine tune your ability.
The staff at Ironwood is very courteous and helpful. John LaMonica,
John Rucker, and Matt Merritt are all "professionals" at
what they do and will make every attempt to make playing Ironwood
very enjoyable. Pace of play is also very important to all people
who play golf and Ironwood's course marshals do a great job of
keeping the pace of play moving. No one wants to spend 5 hours
for a round of golf, at Ironwood you don't have to worry about
that. If you're looking for a great overall golf experience, choose
