Founded in 1996, Ironwood is an 1,100 – acre, private golf community located just 4 minutes from the prestigious Pitt Memorial Hospital and just eight minutes from the East Carolina University campus. There are eighteen holes of Championship golf designed by Lee Trevino, adjacent to the historic Tar River over the naturally rolling terrain that is uncharacteristic to eastern North Carolina.

   All Memberships are non equity and you are not liable for any capital or operational assessments. Our golf memberships include range privileges and Ironwood members that reside in our community may own private golf carts. Located in the center of the golf course is the hub of the golf community, our 14,000 square foot plantation style club house, with terraces that provide 360 degrees of breathtaking views. Within the walls of the clubhouse is our Member’s dining room and lounge, men’s and ladies locker rooms, the golf shop, golfers grill and banquet areas. Near the club house is our competition size swimming pool and children’s pool, and our lighted composition tennis courts.
